This will be a very simple post — just a ton of photos of cute penguins from my trip to Antarctica 🙂 Enjoy!
Love the diversity of poses in this shot – from just hanging in the middle through trying to a nap on the left to I dropped something on the right 🙂
Papa penguin on guard.
Easily my favorite image 😀
Descending to a giant rookery on Deception island. Epic.
It’s funny how some of them sleep with their heads sorta hidden.
Thug vs. Mr. Flexible
This fella has been belly sliding in the mud 😉
Synchronized poop victory dance? 🙂
Snow Patrol over here (see what I did there? 😉 ) came to investigate our ski after we arrived at one of the rookeries. So funny!
Beautiful Chinstraps.
Goofball.
Not sure what this 3-way argument was about. But these guys are loud.
The Godfather.
It’s hard to show you with a photo how cute this pebble carrying is 🙂 Basically this guy went around taking pebbles either from the shore or directly from other penguin nests and proceeded to pile them on his own, presumably to impress his lady. Smart man 😉
Another shot of the Deception rookery. Thousands upon thousands of penguins, incredible. And quite smelly actually.
Seeing these guys live is 10x more fun 🙂
I know what you’re thinking, he needs some exercise. Back off guys, he is in shape! 🙂
I do have more stories from Antarctica that I hope I get to in the coming weeks… stay tuned.
These are wonderful photos from an amazing trip. Penguins are so intriguing and adorable.
Cool pictures..Can I use them on my blog???
Sure! As long as you give me credit and link back, why not 🙂
Great photos! Keep politics out of Antarctica!
Very much agreed. Though I think it’s hard to do
There are untapped resources that one day we can use and countries are strategically lining up to get a piece of the pie.
Amazing photos! Both with music give so much energy ..
Fabulous! 😍
Great photographs! Very interesting post! TY. I’ll be following you for more great posts.
I’m a new blogger. I just published my first posts this week. I hope to someday have a blog as great as yours, though I realize I have so much to learn about before that can happen. If you have any time for constructive criticism or tips, check out my blog. I’d really appreciate any help. http://www.thetreasuresoflife.com

Spectacular photos! Thanks for sharing. Very inspired now to put Antarctica on my bucketlist;)
I envy your travels. I have stepped foot on every continent on God’s green earth with the exception of Antarctica.
6 out of 7 is quite impressive! Which are your favorite trips / destinations?
In Europe, I like northern Italy particularly Tuscany as well as Greece, the UK, and Spain. In Asia, Singapore is a favorite as is the Philippines. I have not been back to Hong Kong since the Chinese government took over but I used to love Hong Kong.
Always wanted to see pictures of penguins and Antartica up close. You are a incredible photographer.
Thanks for the kind words! There are far better photographers out there, I’m more of an adventurist with a decent camera 😉
Such incredible animals. You’re very lucky to have been so close to them in their natural habitat.
Indeed I am 🙂
Right! Not just a photographer! Adventurist…and more of a nice person with incredible sense of beauty…
You are too kind 🙂
Gosh, they are all so cute!! ❤ Wonderful creatures and excellent phptography!! 🙂
That they are. It’s great being so close in real life 🙂
