It’s been quite gloomy and bleak lately in Bulgaria (and especially in Sofia) and instead of a pearly white winter (I’ve only skied once so far this season π¦ ) we’ve been getting fogs, rains, and an overall greyness that just puts you in a weird mood. Today’s been the first sunny day I’ve seen in a while so it has put me in a very Spring mood π I dug up some photos from last May when I traditionally start roaming around the country looking for those colorful fields π
It just beckons you, doesn’t it? π
Walkking through those is fun, let me tell you. And oh the smells! π
Perhaps my most favorite part of Spring at home — lilacs!
And of course dandelions…
Fields and fields of dandelions π
Looking forward to the waves of colors again π
Beautiful photos! i was in sofia recently and it’s a very nice city.
Bulgaria looks a lot flatter then I assumed it would be.
Well, that’s just a few shots from around the same valley so it’s not the most representative selection π In general it’s quite mountainous, we’ve got 4-5 big ranges and the highest peak on the Balkans.
I cannot wait until I see spring fields again. Those are very pretty pics!
i just see awesome wedding photos!. lol that’s just how my mind works. great shots!
How do you mean wedding photos? Not sure I’m quite following π
Just imagine the bridal couple in those fields or in front of the door, the bride with cute contrasting wellingtons on her feet? or their wedding bands hanging off a flower or twig as a close up
Ah, I see what you mean now. That does actually sound like the perfect setting for a wedding photo shoot, good imagination π
habit of a small photography hobbie. I am in no way as good as you are, but i get by and there are people willing to pay me on occasion to take pretty pictures of their special days
i wonder what lilacs smell like.hmm. i’m curious! the fields look unreal – nature is awesome.
