On our way from Podgorica to Kotor we decided to take this back road that was going to slow us down a bit, but it crossed some interesting looking mountains (which shouldn’t be a surprise, Montenegro is all mountains anyway ;)) so we went for it. And, as it often happens, this turned out to be such a great choice.
You end up right above (and I literally mean, ABOVE) Kotor on this super awesome driving road that I’m definitely coming back to again. Images don’t do it justice, plus it was a gray and rainy day, but trust me – you need to see this with your own eyes!
This is the first time since Milford sound in New Zealand that I’ve seen such a magnificent view, mind you so close to home!

And this is what you get when you go into the actual town of Kotor… a cute little place that was luckily very empty at this time of year, but apparently is bustling with people in summer time.
Call me, maybe? 😉
This church rocked. Literally.
Yep, definitely coming back. Soon. With a fast car. 😉
