Montenegro weather is something else… it rained for five days out of the seven that we were there 😉 Luckily we were able to make the most of it and on the fourth day (first time we saw sunshine actually) we drove to the famous Ostrog monastery, not too far from the capital Podgorica. It’s a tricky ride up from the valley, but the magnificent views of the Bjelopavlići plain below are so worth it.
It’s hard to tell from this photo, but the river had this incredible turquoise color which made me imagine how great this probably looks later on in Spring when everything around it is green and lush 🙂

The road up… so much fun to drive on 😉
The monastery itself… maybe you can’t tell from this photo, but this is a near vertical 300m rock cliff that Ostrog was built into.
