On the way to the Sahara, we spent the night in the impressive Dadès Gorge, located somewhere in the Atlas mountains. Believe it or not, the gorge is actually one of the more popular things to see in Morocco and the winding road is definitely an interesting sight, especially when you start seeing the headlights of the occasional passing car around dusk. I managed to capture this long exposure shot while sipping delicious mint tea they served at the top (up to which we walked, btw – our hotel is the lights you see towards the end of the canyon).

Simply amazing scenery! How long was the exposure? Also, what camera do you use. I’m just starting out, I’m using a Nikon D3200
From what I remember, this was two 30-second exposure shots combined, since I didn’t have my remote to go in Bulb mode and the car was moving quite slowly as it was steep 😉 They were taken with my old Canon 550D so yours is in fact better — I’ve often said it’s not just about the camera or the glass, but the desire to make the shot and how well you know and use your equipment. I’m sure that much like mine you can go over 30 seconds, you just need a remote shutter button and to go into the equivalent of the Bulb mode on the Canons 😉
