On a recent trip around Bulgaria, we went through a mountain pass that has not been in official use for over 30 years. We were in a hurry and the road saves a lot of time, so we took the risk. Right at dusk, we were greeted with the most enchanting purple sky. Despite being in a rush, I couldn’t resist and snapped a few shots.
Lessons learned: much like in life, sometimes we should take the unplanned, ill-maintained, and tough back roads. They are worth it.
